What is TrackinV?

TrackinV is a web-based investment portfolio tracker. After signing up and logging in, you can create and manage one or more portfolios to track performance, allocation, and income across different asset types.

Is TrackinV free to use?

TrackinV uses a freemium model. It offers a free tier for basic portfolio tracking, with optional paid upgrades that may include advanced analytics, more portfolios or positions, and additional features.

What types of assets does TrackinV support?

TrackinV supports a wide range of investment assets: stocks (e.g., AAPL, ASML.AS), ETFs (e.g., VWRL.AS, CSPX.AS), mutual funds, and cryptocurrency. For mutual funds, we support 45+ funds with automatic daily price updates via ticker codes — see our Supported Mutual Funds page for the full list. For cryptocurrencies, we recommend adding the currency suffix to the ticker — for example, BTC-EUR or ETH-USD.

How do I add a mutual fund to TrackinV?

We support 45+ mutual funds (mostly Northern Trust / FGR funds) with automatic daily price updates. Visit our Supported Mutual Funds page for the full list with ticker codes. When adding a transaction, enter the fund's ticker code (e.g., 0P0001HZZS.F) for the best results.

Portfolio & Import(3 questions)

How do I create a new portfolio on TrackinV?

After logging in to TrackinV, you can create a new portfolio from the dashboard. You choose a portfolio name and base currency, then add transactions manually or import them from a broker export.

Can I import transactions from my broker (for example DEGIRO)?

Yes. TrackinV supports importing transactions from broker exports, such as DEGIRO. You can upload a broker-provided file so transactions are added automatically to your portfolio. Learn more about our DEGIRO portfolio tracker features.

Does TrackinV support CSV imports?

Yes. TrackinV allows CSV imports for transactions. This makes it possible to import data from brokers or custom spreadsheets that follow the supported format.

Privacy & Security(3 questions)

How does TrackinV handle my data?

TrackinV processes personal and portfolio data only to provide the service. Details about what data is collected, how it is used, and the legal basis for processing are described in the TrackinV privacy policy.

Is my investment data secure?

TrackinV applies technical and organizational security measures to protect account and portfolio data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

Can I request data deletion?

Yes. You can request access to or deletion of your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, such as GDPR, as described in the TrackinV privacy policy.

CSV Import Help(3 questions)

What CSV format is required for importing trades?

Your CSV file must contain the following columns (case-sensitive):

Date,Action,Symbol,Shares,Price,CurrencyP,Fees,CurrencyF

Date: DD-MM-YYYY format (e.g., 21-05-2023)

Action: "Bought" or "Sold"

Symbol: Stock ticker (AAPL, MSFT, ASML.AS)

Shares: Number of shares traded

Price: Price per share

CurrencyP: Price currency (EUR, USD, etc.)

Fees: Transaction fees

CurrencyF: Fee currency (optional, defaults to price currency)

Should I use ticker symbols or ISIN codes?

Ticker symbols (recommended):

  • More reliable for price fetching
  • Include exchange suffix for European stocks (ASML.AS, LVMH.PA)
  • US stocks don't need suffix (AAPL, MSFT)

ISIN codes:

  • Use the ISIN converter tool in the upload dialog
  • Converts 190+ major assets to ticker format
  • Best for broker exports that only provide ISINs

How do I import from other brokers?

TrackinV supports direct import from the following brokers:

More brokers coming soon! For other brokers, manually format your data using our standard CSV template.

What information does the dashboard show?

The dashboard provides a comprehensive overview of your portfolio:

Portfolio Summary:

  • Total portfolio value

Allocation Charts:

  • Asset type allocation (ETF, Stock, Crypto)
  • Individual asset breakdown
  • Sector allocation (excl. Crypto)
  • Geographical allocation (excl. Crypto)

How are portfolio performance and returns calculated?

True Total Return Formula:

Total Return = (Current Value + Sale Proceeds) - Total Cash Invested

Current Value: Market value of all current holdings

Sale Proceeds: Cash received from selling assets (after fees)

Total Cash Invested: All money put into investments (including fees)
